Luke Darby is a freelance writer working in and around Cleveland after moving from the Gulf Coast to the North Coast. Currently he’s writing about education and local news for cleveland.com. In the past he’s written about topics ranging from fish-smoking techniques to corruption hearings against district attorneys.

Luke holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from New York University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. Most recently he wrote for the Dallas Observer and various IND Media publications in southern Louisiana. While in grad school he interned at Newsweek International and the websites for The New Yorker and New York Magazine, and in undergrad at the Jackson Free Press.

Luke’s writing has appeared on the websites for NYMag.com and TheNewYorker.com, as well as the online and print editions of the Dallas Observer. His work is one of the top five hits on Google if you search for “best nachos Dallas.”
